Literature Text

You two burned up a sun
Just to say goodbye.
You like to think that you helped him,
But you still see him cry.

You hold each other
As you weep for your loss...
'Til a woman in white
Shows up looking cross.

You both blink in confusion
At this red-haired bitch.
Her shrieking voice rises
To an ungodly pitch.

She was getting married
Before getting pulled on board.
Still grieving and sick of her ranting,
You shut her up with your sword.

She says her name's Donna,
And you try to be nice
While the Doctor runs 'round the console
To set things right.

You fight off Santa's and ornaments
Blowing up here and there.
You're starting to think Christmas
Is just a time to run scared.

You can't stop the Doctor;
The Racnoss pays for her sins.
Even after you escape
It seems nobody wins.

Donna leaves, life goes on,
You continue but it's hard.
He's more protective than ever,
More reserved, on his guard.

In a hospital you discover
Kind and sweet Martha Jones.
She too saves the Doctor;
Now it's her one trip he owes.

One fifteen-hundreds trip later,
Martha's still on board.
Then New Earth, New York, present day, and a doomed ship
Leave no one bored.

She's entranced by this lifestyle
And joins "Team TARDIS", too.
She thought you were his daughter.
You only half-wish it were true.

You meet people, fight monsters,
Fall knowingly into traps,
Vanquish foes, rescue innocents,
Put up with the Doctor's angsty crap.

Boe said "You are not alone"
And you told him you knew.
He laughed, meaning another,
But he agreed with you, too.

In time she becomes
An Aunt to you, as well.
The Doctor's not quite so accepting,
Giving her emotional Hell.

Then the Doctor turns human
And you hide as his kid.
The Family of Blood are sketchy as Hell,
So you're glad that you hid.

You all left that one
None the worse for wear.
The Doctor came out the worst,
But Martha's practically ripping out hair.

So Martha keeps on
For several months.
Then Uncle Jack shows back up
And the TARDIS runs.

He died and came back
(Apparently does so a lot).
You meet the universe's last humans
Who've been left there to rot.

Kind old Yana's a Time-Lord
Who calls himself the Master.
Steals the TARDIS, leaves you for dead
All you call him is "Bastard!"

Using Jack's vortex manipulator,
You four return to oh-seven.
Now "Harry Saxon"'s in power;
Not your idea of Heaven.

The Doctor knows the Master,
Said they used to be tight,
But he went one way, the Master another,
Now nothing is right.

They used to be more
Than just the best of friends.
It makes you wonder
How a love like theirs ends.

The tension is high
When you're finally caught,
But lack of faith in your Doctor
Is not even a thought.

Martha's gone, Jack's imprisoned,
And you're no more than a slave.
Seems the Doctor's the only vengeful enemy
The Master hasn't made.

Your Doctor is ancient,
A mute withered old man.
Though against orders you still help him
As much as you can.

You're still barely eleven,
So your hours aren't long.
The Master can't beat you down;
He's amazed you're still strong.

To take someone's life
Goes against all the Doctor's rules.
The plan was very straightforward,
But the Master's no fool.

Upon searching your pockets
He finds the tools of your trade.
Though the assassination attempt's a no-go
Boundaries and respect are made.

He takes a liking to you
(Just for trying to kill him?!)
You have more freedom now,
But still heed his every whim.

He tries to reform you
To meet his own ends.
He's just a mad, violent little kid
And you two become friends.

A year after your capture
Aunt Martha returns.
The Master's defeated by the Doctor
And the collective humans he spurns.

You knock Lucy's arm back
As the gun goes off.
It misses, you've saved the Master,
Which makes Uncle Jack cross.

He's locked away in the TARDIS
Where you two can still meet.
He says you help quiet the drums,
Help to soften their beat.

Martha's done with her traveling
And so you part ways.
Jack promises to visit,
But you're the only one who stays.

So you're happy again,
Taking a well-deserved rest.
You're sad about Martha,
But know it's for the best.
Follows Season 3. Sort of. If you squint. Eventually I'll be posting actual stories, but for now this is all you're gonna get.

Yes, I am obsessed with both Ten and the Master, so he lives. It's not in the show, but neither am I, so deal with it. He'll come back in later...

Coincidentally, this Part is also 34 stanzas, so the total so far is 68 for two Season summaries. I'll be going back to add more as they come to me, BTW.
